Lions Club honors Students of the Month

The Manheim Lions Club recently honored Manheim Central High School students Katelynn Myer and Logan Gebhard as the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center (LCCTC) Students of the Month for September and October, respectively. They were recognized at a Lions Club meeting.

Katelynn has always been interested in following in her family's footsteps by pursuing a career in police work. She is now enrolled in the Protective Services Academy at the Mount Joy campus of LCCTC, where she is learning about law enforcement and the court system. She has gained real-world experience, and she plans to pursue postsecondary training in forensic science or criminal justice before attending the Pennsylvania State Police Academy. In addition to her training at LCCTC, she is involved in sports, with a particular passion for volleyball, basketball and softball.

Logan is a senior enrolled in the electrical construction program at the LCCTC Brownstown campus. He is interviewing for a cooperative education position through the electrical construction program and hopes to be gainfully employed before graduation. He is considering seeking more trade schooling after he earns his high school diploma. Logan also participates in cross-country and spring track.
