Lions Club Installs New Officers

The Hershey Lions Club installed incoming officers at its June meeting. Steve Gallerizzo, outgoing club president, passed the club gavel to incoming club president John Mallonee. The new club year began on July 1.

Since the club's chartering in 1944, its members have supported a variety of projects, such as eyeglass collections and exams, food bank collections, tree planting, supporting youth sports, and providing scholarships. The club also partners with the Grace United Methodist Church's backpack project annually.

Hershey Lions Club members fill about 20 officer positions within the club. Leadership opportunities still exist for interested members of the community.

Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs. For more information or to get involved with the Hershey Lions Club, visit http://www.hersheylions.org.
