Lions Club names Student of the Month

Elizabethtown Area High School senior Jordan Anderson was named the Elizabethtown Lions Club Student of the Month for February. To merit this recognition, students must be enrolled in the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC) and demonstrate exceptional work ethic, skills and knowledge in their respective fields.

Jordan hails from Elizabethtown and is the son of Gene and Judith Anderson. While initially enrolled in the diesel technology program, Jordan made the decision to switch to the materials handling and logistics program midway through the first marking period.

Jordan secured a spot on the honor roll in both the first and second marking periods. Moreover, he completed the knowledge component of his forklift certification with excellence and is primed to excel in the practical phase. Additionally, he acquired his OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification and has played a pivotal role in advancing a work-based learning collaboration with Henry Schein.

Notably, Jordan recently secured a position in a warehouse shipping department. His cooperative education experience began on Feb. 26, marking the beginning of his transition into employment.
