The Manheim Lions Club will host a community blood drive in the large room at 48 Market Square, Manheim, on Saturday, Jan. 9, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A form of identification is required to donate.

Those who plan to donate are strongly encouraged to schedule an appointment by calling 800-771-0059 or visiting http://www.717giveblood.org. Although walk-ins will be welcome, donors with appointments will be taken first.

Masks are required; those who are not wearing a mask will be given one. Donors may choose to receive a free COVID-19 antibody test with their successful blood donation.

Everyone giving will receive a Texas Roadhouse certificate for a free 6-ounce sirloin steak dinner, along with a free blood donor T-shirt.
