Lions Club To Host Golf Outing

The mission of the Willow Street Lions Club is to create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation.

To accomplish this goal, the Lions Club supports various efforts, including Boy Scout Troop 58 and its Scout house, Solanco Food Bank, medical equipment for people in need, the Lions International SightFirst II campaign, Willow Street Lions Club Community Center maintenance, and scholarships for Lampeter-Strasburg School District students. One of the club's major fundraisers is its annual golf outing.

The 25th annual Willow Street Lions Club golf outing will take place on Friday, Aug. 27, at Tanglewood Manor Golf Club, 653 Scotland Road, Quarryville.

Registration will open at 8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. in scramble format. The registration fee includes green fees, the use of a cart, lunch, and giveaways. The event will also feature prizes and contests, including a hole-in-one contest.

"This event is perfect for golf lovers and those who want to support the Lions," stated Willow Street Lions Club member Tom Gregory. "It will be a fun day filled with prizes."

Spots are limited. Preregistration is required and must be completed no later than Friday, Aug. 13. To register, call 717-464-66101 or email LionTomGregory@gmail.com.
