Lititz Library Posts Schedule

Fall Into the Future, the library's capital campaign kickoff and fall festival, will be held on Sunday, Oct. 5, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The event will include crafts, story time, music, treats, and games.

Members of the Blanketeers will gather to create blankets of various kinds for Project Linus on Tuesdays, Oct. 7 and 21, at 2 p.m.

Grief Stories will be held on Monday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m. Grief Stories provides a space for hearing firsthand accounts of overcoming a tragic death and living with hope and purpose.

The library will offer several ongoing programs. These activities include Knitting Club, for knitters and crocheters, on Mondays, Oct. 6 and 20, at 10 a.m. and Tuesdays, Oct. 14 and 28, at 6 p.m.; Baked Books Club on Oct. 14 at 2 p.m.; Beginner Tai Chi Easy on Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m.; Lititz Game Club, for players age 10 and older, on Wednesdays, Oct. 1 and 15, at 4:30 p.m.; Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County on Oct. 1 at 6 p.m.; Painting Club on Wednesdays, Oct. 8 and 22, at 12:30 p.m.; Genealogy Club on Oct. 15 at 6:30 p.m.; Literary Travelers Book Club on Friday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m.; Lego Club, for ages 6 to 10, on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 to 11 a.m.; Great Decisions Discussion Group on Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m.; Lititz Garden Club on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 6 p.m.; Writing Club on Oct. 20 at 1 p.m.; Jane Austen Society on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 6:30 p.m.; Red Rose Quilters Guild of Lancaster Embroidery Mini Group on Oct. 22 at 1:30 p.m.; Sewcial Sewing Club on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m.; Accessible Yoga with Black Cat Yoga on Friday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m.; Lititz Art Association on Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m., with no registration required; and BYOB Book Club, for which attendees may bring whatever they are currently reading, on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m.

Wine Tasting and Class: The Wines of Winter will take place on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. Attendees must be age 21 or older. Online registration will open on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 9 a.m.

A free indoor concert will be presented by Rizzetta's Tones, a Celtic American band, on Oct. 18 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Online registration will begin on Saturday, Oct. 4.

Becoming a Homeowner with Truist Bank will be held on Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. Attendees will learn key steps to homeownership and the mortgage process, finding the right home for their budget, and the advantages of buying a home. Online registration will begin on Oct. 8.

Oehme Program Series: The Rise and Fall of the Pennsylvania Railroad presented by Jim Bennett will take place on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m. The program will examine how the Pennsylvania Railroad helped grow the country, economy, and society in the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.

The following programs will be offered for children: Backyard Storytimes, Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. through Oct. 23; Cruise Into Kindergarten: Cool Cats for children ages 3 to 6, Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m.; and Paws to Read, where children can read aloud to a therapy dog, Saturdays, Oct. 11 and 25, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Indoor Storytimes will be offered through Thursday, Nov. 20, for children ages 6 months to 5 years. Little Steps for children ages 6 to 24 months with a caregiver will take place on Tuesdays at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., Wednesdays at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. Toddler Storytime for children ages 2 to 3 with one caregiver will be offered on Mondays at 9:30 a.m., Tuesdays at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. Preschool Storytime will be held for children ages 3 to 5 independent of a caregiver on Mondays at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m., and Thursdays at 11:30 a.m.

A Backyard Storytime Costume Party will take place on Friday, Oct. 31, at 10:30 a.m. Attendees are invited to come dressed in costume. Following the story time, there will be a Halloween display located near the library for attendees to trick-or-treat.

The Fall StoryWalk featured book is "Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type" by Doreen Cronin.
