LMS Plans Celebration At Locust Grove Campus

Lancaster Mennonite School (LMS) invites community members to join in celebrating the Locust Grove campus on Friday, April 22, at the Final Annual Spring Celebration at the school's current location, 2257 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster. LMS will celebrate and honor the history of the Locust Grove campus before it unifies prekindergarten through 12th grade at the Lancaster campus on Lincoln Highway East in the fall.

Chicken barbecue meals will be available from noon to 5:30 p.m. To preorder barbecue by Friday, April 8, visit http://www.lancastermennonite.org/locust-grove-bbq-registration/. Remaining food will be available at the event on a first-come, first-served basis on April 22.

Attendees may take a walkthrough of the campus after 1 p.m. A timeline of significant events throughout the campus's history will be on view.

Band students in fourth to 12th grades will present a concert from 3 to 4 p.m. From 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., the school will offer kids' activities, including an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, carnival games, a photo booth, and more.

The celebration will end with an auction beginning at 4:30 p.m. Items up for bids will include class projects and a swing set.

Well-known persons from the Locust Grove campus community throughout the generations will share their memories of the school. Anyone who would like to share memories and photos and view those already shared may visit http://www.lancastermennonite.org/locust-grove-campus-photos/.
