Local Halloween Events Posted

During the pandemic, the Birdsboro Community Memorial Center devised a safe way for children to collect Halloween candy in 2020: a Halloween drive-through. Because of the popularity of that event, a free Halloween drive-through will take place again this year on Saturday, Oct. 23.

From 6 to 8 p.m., attendees can drive through Main Bird Park and view family-friendly displays by local businesses and organizations.

"People from the different organizations will deliver candy to children in their cars," explained Molly Rapposelli, administrative assistant at the community center. "Some people put up lights and decorations, and other people go all out with blowups. We leave it up to the individuals what they want to put up." The community center will also have decorations in the park, and children are encouraged to dress in costume.

Cars will enter the Halloween drive-through on Water Street from First Street and exit onto Main Street in the borough. Participants must register to reserve a time by calling 610-582-2471 or emailing bcm02@ptd.net. Reservations will be taken up until the day of the event.

Other local organizations have also planned Halloween activities.
