Local Pastor Publishes Book

In his recent publication titled "What Do You Say?" Dr. Garfield Greene invites readers to join him as he examines the true identity of Jesus as seen in the Bible and in the world. "What Do You Say?" deals with the question, "What is the true identity of Jesus Christ?"

The book looks into the person and the work of Jesus of Nazareth, who is also called Jesus Christ or Jesus of Galilee. Readers get to know the central figure of Christianity and what kind of kingdom Jesus came to establish. The book also includes a detailed account of how the author began a long and secure relationship with Jesus and suggests a way that the reader might do the same.

Greene has served as pastor of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Peach Bottom for the past 10 years. Greene was honorably discharged in 1961 after serving as an airman in the United States Air Force. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in French from Morgan State College, a Master in Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. He has been employed as a chaplain at the Trenton State Prison and a clinical social worker for the Department of the Army and for the Veterans Affairs.
