Londonderry Village to host yard sale

Londonderry Village in Palmyra will present its 24th annual estate and yard sale to benefit the Londonderry Village Good Samaritan Fund from Thursday, June 1, through Saturday, June 3.

The sale will be located at the large, white barn on Leon Avenue. Parking will be at Grace Point Church, 740 Leon Ave., Palmyra. Handicapped-accessible parking will also be available at the sale location. Shuttle buses will transport shoppers from the church to the sale area and back. A pickup/holding area will be available.

On June 1, the sale will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Pennsylvania Farm Show milkshakes available from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will continue on Friday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Fertile Valley ice cream will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will conclude on June 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Items for sale will include jewelry, china and glassware, kitchen items, linens, pictures and picture frames, crafts, sewing and quilting items, puzzles, office items, children's games, small antique collectibles, lamps and mirrors. There will be a large tent containing gardening items, health and beauty items, walkers, wheelchairs, bath chairs, tools, fishing gear and gun supplies. A separate tent will offer live flowers and hanging baskets, and there will be a separate large barn with furniture.

The funds from the event will go directly to the Good Samaritan Fund, which supports residents who have depleted their funds due to illness and need of long-term skilled care.

Only cash or checks will be accepted at the sale.
