Lunch in the Park will be held every Friday in August from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Main Pavilion at Terre Hill Community Park, 210 Lancaster Ave., Terre Hill. A variety of sandwiches, soups, and desserts will be available, and free ice cream will be included with meal purchase. Takeouts will be available by calling 717-445-7006. Community members are also encouraged to consider donating items for the park benefit auction, which will be held in the park pavilion on Thursday, Sept. 22. The auction will start at 6 p.m., with food available around 5 p.m. Items may be dropped off at the park in Terre Hill on Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. as well as on the day of the sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Community members may also call the Terre Hill Borough office at 717-445-4581 to make arrangements for volunteers to pick up donated items. The auction will include furniture, handmade crafts, shrubbery and plants from local nurseries, new items and gift certificates donated by local businesses, groceries donated by local stores, household goods and items donated by individuals.
