Luther Acres Sets Holiday Bazaar

Residents of Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, have been working for months to prepare items for the upcoming holiday bazaar, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the community room of the Luther Acres Towne Center at 250 St. Luke Drive, Lititz. Shoppers will be able to pay for their purchases via cash, check, or credit card. The event will support the Luthercare Resident Caring Fund.

The sale will feature artisan vendors selling a variety of items, including redware pottery and ornaments; handcrafted cards, wooden signs, and Christmas items; watercolor art; handwoven scarves and baby blankets; canned and pickled items, jams, jellies, and honey; and more. The bazaar will also feature knitted and crocheted items, woodworking pieces, and holiday crafts and cards that have been handmade by Luther Acres residents. There will also be an array of donated jewelry, attic treasure items, and Christmas decorations for sale, along with homemade baked goods and candy to purchase. Baked goods frequently sell out before the end of the bazaar, so customers are encouraged to buy early.

Additionally, there will be a giveaway drawing for a queen-size, blue and white quilt, featuring a large star shape in blue in the center and small stars on the borders. Separate prices have been set for two tickets and for an arm's length. The drawing will be held at 3:30 p.m.

Attendees are also welcome to enjoy a pancake breakfast in Katy's Grill, a campus restaurant in the Towne Center, from 8 to 10 a.m. The breakfast will feature pancakes, sausage, coffee, and juice for a set fee, which may be paid with cash only. Proceeds will benefit the Luthercare Resident Caring Fund.
