Lytvishko To Perform Organ Concert

Derry Presbyterian Church, 248 E. Derry Road, Hershey, will host internationally renowned Ukrainian organist Dariia Lytvishko, who will play toccatas and meditations on the church's Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28. She will play works by Boellmann, Durufle, Guilmant, Ravel, Vierne, and Widor.

Lytvishko began piano lessons at age 3, followed by studies in organ, singing, and choir conducting. She completed her piano training at Volyn State College of Culture and Arts and earned her master's degree in church music from the University of Church Music Herford-Witten in Germany in 2022.

Lytvishko has performed internationally at Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Oratoire du Louvre in Paris, and the Pantheon in Rome, among many other venues across the the world. She has served in various music roles, and in September, she joined the team of organists at the Jesuit Church in Vienna, Austria.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Lytvishko has given more than 40 benefit concerts across Europe and North America, raising over $77,000 to aid Ukraine and highlight the humanitarian and environmental impacts of the war.

The concert is part of the church's 2025-26 Arts Alive cultural series, which will continue with a concert by the New Holland Band on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 4 p.m. A freewill offering will be received. Handicapped-accessible parking and an elevator are available.
