Savita Madhankumar was named to the president's list for the spring semester at Siena College, Loudonville, N.Y. Madhankumar is from Hummelstown.

To be named to the president's list, students must have a grade point average of 3.9 or greater.

Additionally, Madhankumar was inducted into the Alpha Kappa Alpha Honor Society at Siena College.

Alpha Kappa Alpha members are students who have achieved academic excellence throughout their college years and have demonstrated an awareness of the problems facing society and a sincere concern for others. Members have contributed to Siena and to the broader community by participation in extracurricular activities. These students embody the Franciscan traditions that are the foundation of an education at Siena. They were chosen upon the recommendation of a select committee of faculty members, students and administrators.
