MAHS program to highlight Penn Manor history

The Millersville Area Historical Society (MAHS) invites the public to a special presentation, "Remembering the Best of Penn Manor," when it meets at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, in the Large Group Instruction (LGI) Room in the recently constructed Penn Manor High School, 100 E. Cottage Ave., Millersville. Doors will open at 8:15 a.m., and the meeting will start at 9 a.m.

The program will feature a multigenerational sampling of memories from former students, teachers, and staff, each of whom will offer a presentation about their experiences while attending or employed in some capacity at the high school. A short slideshow, consisting of historical photos, also will be shown.

Participants and attendees are invited to bring mementos from their days at Penn Manor. Admission is free, but donations will be appreciated.

To enter the building, drive around to the back, park on the parking deck, and enter the doors by the attendance office. Once in the building, follow directions to the LGI Room.

For more details or to ask about last-minute participation, contact Phil Gerber, MAHS president, at 717-872-8837 before noon or at pge8507@aol.com.
