Manada Conservancy Names Executive Director

Manada Conservancy has announced that Logan Andrew Daly has been named its new executive director following his service as the organization's land protection specialist.

Daly joined the staff of Manada Conservancy in October 2025 after previously serving on the Land Protection Committee. In his role as land protection specialist, he played a vital part in advancing the conservancy's mission by monitoring conserved properties and investigating potential easement violations. He also assisted with mapping, research and compliance with legal and accreditation standards.

Originally from the Endless Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania, Daly brings a strong professional and interdisciplinary academic perspective to his leadership. He holds degrees in humanities and philosophy and is a Ph.D. candidate in Penn State's American Studies program, specializing in environmental history.

As a former Graduate Fellow, he has taught a variety of undergraduate courses in environmental humanities and currently researches the cultural and rhetorical dimensions of humanity's relationship with the natural world, work that aligns closely with Manada Conservancy's mission of land stewardship, education, and community engagement.

As executive director, Daly will oversee Manada Conservancy's conservation programs, community partnership and long-term strategic goals, continuing to protect and steward the natural landscapes of Dauphin County for future generations.
