Marching Bands To Gather For Competition

The Conestoga Valley High School marching band will host its annual Battle of the Bands competition on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the school's stadium, 2110 Horseshoe Road, Lancaster. The gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with competition performances beginning at 5:30 p.m., and the show will end with the presentation of awards at 9:20 p.m.

The competition will feature 10 area high school marching bands competing in various divisions and showcasing their 2022 marching band shows. During the event, the Conestoga Valley marching band will perform its 2022 show, "Alice," as an exhibition for guests. The show tells the story of "Alice in Wonderland" through music and choreography. The Battle of the Bands will culminate with a performance by the Lebanon Valley College marching band.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase from the Buckskins Band Booster Club, with payment by cash only. All proceeds from the Battle of the Bands will support Conestoga Valley's band programs.

Tickets will be available at the gate, with separate fees for adults and for seniors and students. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
