Marketing conference planned

The American Marketing Association (AMA) Central Pennsylvania Chapter will host its first-ever marketing conference, "Rise Above the Noise: Today's Modern Marketing," on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will be presented and hosted by Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, 326 Market St., Harrisburg. The conference will feature education sessions from more than 12 industry leaders and opportunities to network with local marketing professionals.

The conference will also feature Mark Schaefer - a globally recognized marketing consultant and author - as the keynote speaker. During his presentation, Schaefer will offer his insights on how businesses and organizations can make sense of the artificial intelligence (AI) hype and provide practical applications for harnessing AI.

The conference is a way for the growing AMA chapter to offer value to its members and to the marketing community of central Pennsylvania, said Devin Langan, president of AMA Central PA and director of operations at Langan Financial Group.
