Whitnee Jo McDermott-Nunez of Birdsboro was inducted into Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology at Kutztown University (KU), Kutztown, this spring. Psi Chi is the international honor society for psychology majors, with chapters around the globe.

The KU Chapter of Psi Chi is open to all students who meet the KU Chapter qualifications for active student membership. Members must complete at least 36 credits for undergraduates, 12 of which were taken at KU, and 15 credits for graduate students. Members must also complete nine semester hours of psychology taken at KU, declare a major or minor in psychology, earn an overall GPA in psychology of 3.30 for undergraduates or 3.75 for graduate students, demonstrate high standards of personal behavior, and receive two-thirds affirmative vote of those present at a regular meeting of the chapter.
