On April 8, Solanco High School's Trent McDowell signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and football careers at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, a Division II school.

McDowell, the son of Jen and Chad McDowell, is a four-sport athlete, competing in soccer, football, basketball, and track at Solanco.
