Medicine Bag Workshop Slated

Mennonite Life will offer a one-hour Medicine Bag Workshop on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 9 a.m. at the 1719 Museum, 1849 Hans Herr Drive, Willow Street.

This beginner-level workshop will guide people age 14 and over through the process of creating an approximately 2-by-3-inch leather drawstring pouch for carrying medicines or other significant items. In addition to a handcrafted hanging pouch, participants will leave with fundamental skills useful for many future creative projects.

The presenter, Jess McPherson, is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary fine artist, master craftsperson, and social impact strategist born and raised in York County.

The cost includes supplies, and members will receive a discount. Preregistration is required by Wednesday, Sept. 21, at http://www.mennonitelife.org. Masking at this event is optional.
