Ruby, who was rescued by Lucky Dawg Animal Rescue (LDAR), is looking for her forever home. She is young and had a hard life. Her eye was infected and had to be removed in an extensive eye surgery but she has since recovered and is healing well.

In July, Ruby delivered six kittens in an animal hoarding home and was surrendered to a high-kill shelter the next day. At the shelter, Ruby and her entire family were immediately timestamped for euthanasia. LDAR was able to rescue her and her family less than 24 hours before their time ran out.

Through the stress of change and illness, Ruby managed to care for her kittens and even accepted an orphaned kitten as one of her own. Her kittens have since been adopted, and it is now her turn to find her forever family. Through all of these struggles, she remained trusting, gentle and affectionate.

Ruby is a very young cat who loves sleeping next to a warm human and is friendly toward cats and dogs if given proper time to be introduced. She also gives hugs.
