Mennonite Life, 2215 Millstream Road, Lancaster, will host a short presentation by author Allan Garber on Thursday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the community room.

Garber will speak about the third edition of his book, "To God Alone the Honor: The Pioneer Mennonite Families of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania." In the book, Garber shares the history of early Mennonite families of Lancaster Country through stories, images, and genealogical records. Garber offers a wealth of knowledge on the lineages of Mennonite families that settled in Lancaster County in the 18th century. He emphasizes the importance of remembering history for understanding identity and faith.

At the author talk, Garber will offer further insight into the book. After the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and to purchase copies of the book and have them signed. A complimentary booklet of updates and corrections will be available at the event for those who attend. Those who cannot attend the event will be able to purchase the updates from Mennonite Life.
