Messick's To Present Christmas Light Show

Messick's Christmas Light Show is celebrating its 10th year open to the public to raise money for local charities at Messick's new store at 1475 Strickler Road, Mount Joy. The light show will run every evening from 6 to 9:30 p.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 28.

The show features thousands of Christmas lights and video displays choreographed to music and broadcast over FM radio so visitors can enjoy the entire show from the comfort of their cars. Volunteers from Messick's will collect donations to benefit local charities again this year. One hundred percent of the proceeds collected will be split between Mennonite Disaster Service, Elizabethtown Community Housing and Outreach Services (ECHOS), Paxton Ministries and Water Street Rescue Mission.

Last year, Messick's collected $48,818 in donations during the event, bringing the nine-year total to more than $366,000.
