Middletown Arts And Crafts Fair To Return

The Middletown Area Historical Society of Dauphin County will present the 46th annual Middletown Arts and Crafts Fair in Hoffer Park, located on Mill Street, on Saturday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. This fair is a tradition that celebrates the Middletown Resolves, which declared Middletown's independence from Great Britain in 1774, two years before the Declaration of Independence was ratified.

The fair is a free event. It will include more than 100 art and craft vendors, a variety of food booths, entertainment, and a cruise-in car show. Crafts to be featured include painting, pottery, acrylics, wood working, and broom making. New this year will be the Craft Beer & Wine Cafe, where guests age 21 and over will be able to enter the main pavilion and purchase beverages from Tattered Flag Brewery & Distillery of Middletown and J&P Winery of Grantville.

Guests can park on public streets or at Fink Elementary School, 150 Race St., at no charge. Free shuttle transportation will be provided by Rohrer Bus Services from Fink to Hoffer Park and back again.

The fair's sponsors are Suez, The Giant Company, Members 1st Federal Credit Union, Renewal By Anderson Central PA, and Rohrer Bus. Proceeds will benefit Middletown Area Historical Society of Dauphin County and its mission to collect, preserve, and teach about the history of Middletown and the surrounding area.
