Middletown Public Library, 20 N. Catherine St. Middletown, has announced its spring book sale. Preview night will be Thursday, April 14, from 5 to 8 p.m.; there is an admission fee. Additional sale hours will be Mondays, April 18 and 25, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesdays, April 19 and 26, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Wednesdays, April 20 and 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursdays, April 21 and 28, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturdays, April 23 and 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A bag sale will take place on April 30.

The sale will offer over 30,000 items in 50 or more categories. Items will include rare and old items, new hardcover and paperback fiction, classics, children's books, YA books, nonfiction books on a wide range of subjects, large-print books, DVDs, vinyl records, CDs, audiobooks, jigsaw puzzles, and board games. Publication dates range from the 1800s to present. Separate fees will be set for hardcovers and for paperbacks. All sales subject to sales tax.
