The Military Oral History Club of Lancaster County will meet on Tuesday, April 29, at 7 p.m. at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2435, 401 Manor St., Columbia. The speaker will be Dorothy "Dottie" Trate.

In 1944, Trate became a punch press operator helping to process critical materials for the war effort. She later received the Congressional Gold Medal for her outstanding service to the nation.
