Children ages 7 to 11 and their parents or guardians are invited to participate in a new equine-assisted learning program at the Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association (CATRA), located on Station Road in Grantville. It will be offered from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturdays, Sept. 11 and Oct. 2.

Children may join miniature horse Rummi on her "unicorn" quest to discover the power of friendship. They will experience hands-on learning in horse handling, goal setting, problem solving, and volunteer service.

The program is offered free of charge, but a set suggested donation per child is encouraged to support the cost of these equine-assisted learning programs.
