Ministerium plans seminars for seniors

The Warwick Ministerium will offer a series of Senior Issues Seminars in the sanctuary at Lititz United Methodist Church, 201 E. Market St. All older adults in the Lititz area, along with their family members, are invited to attend.

The seminars will cover a wide variety of issues relevant to older adults and their families, and the programs will feature local experts. Each event will consist of approximately 45 minutes of content and 15 minutes for audience questions. The presentations will be recorded and later uploaded to the Lititz United Methodist Church's YouTube channel. In addition to providing an opportunity for review, the recorded videos may contain supplemental materials.

The first two seminars will take place on Sundays, April 23 and 30, from 2 to 3 p.m. On April 23, attorney Douglas Smith of Gibble, Kraybill & Hess will present "Estate Planning From Simple to Sophisticated." On April 30, attorney Marci Miller of Gibble, Kraybill & Hess will present "Long-Term Care Planning and Common Mistakes to Avoid."

Future programs will include "Senior Living Options," "Financial Management," "Long-Term Care Insurance," "Hospice Services and Natural Death," "Planning for Burial or Cremation," "Giving Back and Perpetuating Family Values" and "Newly Widowed - Now What?" Further details are forthcoming.

There is no cost to attend the seminars, and no registration is required. The church offers parking, and the building is handicapped-accessible.
