Missionaries to speak at Spring Missions Fest

ValleyView Alliance Church of Hellam invites the community to hear missionaries Oleg and Audra Vrzheshch share their life stories at Spring Missions Fest, to be held from Friday, May 5, through Sunday, May 7.

As a college student in Ukraine, Oleg was saved from a downward spiral when missionaries shared the Word of God with him and he accepted Jesus as his Savior. Oleg then made it his mission to reach out to young students, offering God's love and salvation to them.

Audra, too, felt called to spread God's message to the schools of Ukraine, where she would eventually meet Oleg. The couple would later found the organization Ukraine for Christ, which now includes more than 100 members and conducts various outreach ministries to students and teachers as well as members of the military and young professionals.

Following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in 2022, Oleg, Audra and their children fled to the United States, where they eventually settled in Pennsylvania. However, many members of Ukraine for Christ remained behind to continue their work. Oleg continues to coordinate the organization from Pennsylvania and often travels to Europe to help.

Attendees will be able to meet Oleg and Audra in person while enjoying an ice cream social in the church lobby at 6:30 p.m. Oleg and Audra will speak at the Sunday worship service at 10:15 a.m. on May 7. After the service, there will be a potluck dinner in the lobby at noon. Visitors do not need to bring a dish to share.
