Mount Joy Rotary Honors Students

The Donegal High School Counseling Office and Career Resource Center has announced the Mount Joy Rotary Students of the Month for November 2022. The honorees are Makayla Ober and Noah Rohrer. Students are honored by members of the Mount Joy Rotary during their monthly luncheon meeting.

Makayla is the daughter of Matt and Jamie Ober of Mount Joy. She is captain of the field hockey team, president of Student Council and the Spanish Club, secretary of the National Honor Society and treasurer of the Booster Club. Makayla is also a member of the Math Honor Society and is a Link Crew leader. As a part of her class schedule, she is interning at the Donegal Primary School in Mrs. Musser's second-grade class. Outside school, she has been twirling at Paula's School of Baton for 16 years and also teaches dance to kids at Paula's. She plans to attend college to prepare for a career in elementary education and to twirl baton on a college majorette line.

Noah is the son of Tim and Lorraine Rohrer of Mount Joy. He plays football and basketball, and he is vice president of the National Honor Society. Noah has a teaching internship this year at the junior high school in eighth-grade physical education classes. Outside of school, Noah coaches flag football and attends Community Bible Church. After graduation, Noah plans to attend the United States Coast Guard Academy or Liberty University.
