Mount Joy Rotary honors students

The Donegal High School Counseling Office and Career Resource Center has announced that Julia Brixius and Joshua Brown are the Mount Joy Rotary Students of the Month for March. Students of the Month are honored during the Rotary Club's monthly luncheon meeting.

Julia is the daughter of Timothy and Aleisha Brixius of Marietta. She has served as a class officer, co-president of the National Art Honor Society, vice president of the National Honor Society, and vice president of Key Club. She is a member of the Math Honor Society, yearbook, quiz bowl and the tennis team. She is a Link Crew Leader and peer tutor. She serves as the backstage manager and a member of the scenic dressing crew for Donegal Performing Arts. Outside of school, Julia volunteers with Pitties Love Peace. She plans to attend a college to study environmental science with the goal of working at a museum or national park.

Joshua is the son of Tim Brown and Leann Pavelik of Mount Joy. He is a member of the baseball, basketball, and football teams. He also plays music, attends Student Body at Community Bible Church, and is active in Cross Roads Church's student ministries. Joshua plans to pursue a career as an electrical engineer.
