Mount Joy Rotary honors students

Donegal High School has announced that Janelle Miller and Ryan Shepard are the Mount Joy Rotary Students of the Month for March. Students of the Month are honored by members of the Mount Joy Rotary during the group's monthly luncheon meeting.

Janelle is the daughter of Lori and Brendan Miller of Mount Joy. She is the president of the National Honor Society, president of the marching band, and lighting crew leader for the Donegal Performing Arts tech crew. She is also a member of the Math Honor Society, the jazz band, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Key Club, and DNN. Janelle is a Link Crew leader and serves as a peer tutor. Outside of school, she studies ballet and contemporary dance at Raven Studio and is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church's youth group. She plans to work toward a master's degree in occupational therapy through a five-year university program.

Ryan is the son of Rachael and Alan Shepard of Mount Joy. He is a member of National Honor Society, the baseball team, the pickleball club, and the quiz bowl team. He also serves as a peer tutor. Outside of school, Ryan serves on the Student Leadership Team at his church. After graduation, he plans to attend college to study Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
