MU to present piano concert

The Arts at Millersville University (MU) will present Chloe Flower in concert on Friday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster.

Flower is bridging the gap between classical and pop with her self-created genre called "popsical," which is showcased in her self-titled 2021 debut album. Born in Mechanicsburg, Flower began playing the piano at age 2. By age 12, she was studying at the Manhattan School of Music, and she went on to study at London's Royal Academy of Music and the Juilliard School. She played at Carnegie Hall for the first time at the age of 16.

Flower was featured in a 2019 Grammy Awards performance with Cardi B, with Lil Baby on "Saturday Night Live" and at the Kennedy Center Honors in front of the president of the United States. She has released original music, including compositions for films, TV and major brand campaigns. Simultaneously, she has earned recognition for her efforts to fight human trafficking and support music education.
