Museum plans family New Year's Eve event

The National Watch and Clock Museum, 514 Poplar St., Columbia, will hold its annual New Year's Eve celebration on Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The family-friendly event will include a dance party with DJ Clyde Spangler; face painting; crafts; games; food trucks; and opportunities to explore the museum, which hosts a collection of clocks and watches from around the world. In addition, Create Columbia will be represented. A balloon drop will take place at noon, and a quiet area will offer opportunities to visit with Kelly Skiptunas and her therapy dogs.
