Museums To Showcase Artwork

Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum will offer its August Collection Showcase, "Fine and Folk Art," on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

The Collection Showcases provide a thematic look at the collections of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC). This month, viewers will learn about fine and folk art from various PHMC sites and museums. Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum will present drawings of Ferdinand Bader. Other sites participating include the Anthracite Heritage Museum, displaying a coal sculpture; The Pennsylvania Lumber Museum, with chainsaw sculptures; the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, showings the paintings of Grif Teller; and the Erie Maritime Museum, with art pieces. At the end of the presentation, viewers will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite story or object.
