To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Village Movement, National Village Day will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 15. Villages are intentional caring communities of neighbors helping neighbors. Each village reflects the community it serves and responds to the needs of its members. As part of National Village Day, villages around the country and abroad have planned events and programs to celebrate and highlight their role in creating communities of support for older adults.

Lancaster Downtowners, founded in 2008, will recognize the milestone with a free webinar via Zoom on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. Founder Rod Houser, in conversation with Melissa Ressler, current executive director, and special guests, will explore the history of the Lancaster Downtowners in the context of the Village Movement.
