NCWM joins Blue Star Museums program

The National Civil War Museum (NCWM) is participating this summer in Blue Star Museums, a program organized by the National Endowment for the Arts that offers free admission and special discounts to military personnel and their families from Armed Forces Day, May 20, through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4. The NCWM also offers discounted admission to military personnel and veterans all year, as well as free admission for military personnel and veterans on every Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

Blue Star Families can enjoy the NCWM galleries as well as the two changing exhibits: "Greatness Thrust Upon Them" and "Pursuit of Freedom: The Abolition of Slavery."

Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of Defense and participating museums across the United States.
