New Council Members to Serve at WSC

On Nov. 6, 2022, the congregation of Willow Street Church (WSC) appointed four new members to serve on the church's Executive Council. Executive Council president and elder John Pyfer will continue to lead the church and will be assisted by Don Teeter, Christian Nurture Council chair; Cindy Destafano, chair of the Stewardship Council; Linda Overley, Christian Outreach Council chair and elder; and Barbara Rathbone-Frank, Worship and Music Council chair. Teeter, Destafano and Rathbone-Frank were installed as elders, along with church treasurer Tom Loane, at a special ceremony during the Jan. 29 church service.

WSC provides mission support to many organizations and individuals in Lancaster County through projects such as hosting AA meetings, distributing food boxes to those in need, hosting a free monthly community supper, providing bus transportation to and from church services to those who are unable to drive themselves, sponsoring Cub Scout Pack 56 and sponsoring scholarships for children who attend the church's preschool. WSC also contributes to local charities, including Water Street Mission, Habitat for Humanity and Mennonite Central Committee.

WSC, located at 2723 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, holds worship services on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Bus transportation for the Sunday service is available to those who do not drive and live in Willow Street or Willow Valley. The Sunday service is also available via livestream at http://www.wsucc.com.
