Phoebe Nichols was named to the president's list at the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, R.I., for the spring semester. Nichols is a resident of Columbia.

To be included on the president's list, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades that are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved a GPA between 3.8 and 4.0. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades that are GPA applicable and earn a GPA between 3.8 and 4.0.
