As the school's students celebrated the importance of acts of kindness this month, the faculty and staff at Nye Elementary School in Hummelstown recently participated in a service project to benefit the Downtown Daily Bread in Harrisburg.

The staff donated all the materials for the project and assembled 120 bagged lunches for the walk-in resource center for hungry and homeless individuals on South Street in Harrisburg.
