OMPH Students Create Easter Gift for Minneapolis School

During the 2025 ExtraGive, the students at Our Mother of Perpetual Help (OMPH) School participated in a service project of love, compassion, and support for the students of Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis after tragedy struck their community in August.

An idea sparked by first-grade teacher Katie Schulze grew into a project for the whole school. OMPH students created original artwork by drawing on individual pieces of fabric, which were then sewn to create "pocket quilts" containing small wooden crosses. Each quilt, meant to offer comfort and support, had a preprinted prayer sewn on the front, reminding students that God is always by their side. The pocket quilts, along with an OMPH School spiritual bouquet and a little Jesus figurine, were shipped to the students of Annunciation Catholic School as an Easter gift.

OMPH is a Catholic preschool, elementary school, and middle school. It welcomes children of all faiths who seek an education focused on reverence, respect, and responsibility. OMPH School is accredited through the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary Schools. For more information, call 717-738-2414 or visit http://www.omphschool.com.
