One Lens PA Exhibit Slated

Residents and photographers are invited to submit images to "One Lens," a statewide virtual photo exhibit that celebrates the hard work and commitment of all Pennsylvanians as they continue the fight against COVID-19. The exhibit, organized by the Pennsylvania First Lady's Office in partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, and Pennsylvania Tourism Office, aims to honor Pennsylvania's can-do spirit in action by creating a visual record of Pennsylvanian's shared history during this time.

The exhibit covers three themes: "Our Heroes," "Our Lives," and "Our Communities." "Our Heroes" pays homage to the pandemic heroes who cannot stay home. "Our Lives" takes a look at how people are spending their time when no one is watching. "Our Communities" showcases Pennsylvanians uniting in the face of a global health crisis.

"One Lens" is not a competition, and there is no cost to participate. Participants may submit a maximum of three photographs for consideration. Submitted photographs must have been taken after March 2020 and should fit one of the aforementioned themes.

"One Lens" will accept photo submissions through Monday, March 8, and audio image submissions through Monday, March 15. Participants must be a current resident of Pennsylvania and be age 18 or older. To submit photos and read the complete rules and guidelines, readers may visit http://www.pa.gov/one-lens/.

The virtual photo exhibition will open on March 19. Submissions may also be shared on Commonwealth of Pennsylvania social media pages.
