Historic Poole Forge will host a Thanksgiving online auction, featuring unique gift items and one-of-a-kind experiences donated by local small businesses and community members. Also up for auction will be a community quilt and pillows with a harvest horsepower theme. The bidding will open at 1 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, and close at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30.

Online auction items will include gift certificates for The Inn at Twin Linden in Narvon and The Inn & Spa at Intercourse Village; a hot air balloon ride provided by Air Ventures Balloon Rides Inc.; archery, spinning and weaving lessons; a professional photography session at Poole Forge; a therapeutic massage donated by Churchtown Therapeutic Massage; ebike rental certificates from Lititz Bikeworks; a gift certificate to Honeybrook Golf Club; two tickets to the Mothers' Day Tea at Poole Forge; framed artwork by local artists; and pony rides donated by Chateau Ponies.

New this year on the auction block will be a wood carved owl statue by Dane Fox, an antique carriage seat, an antique dough tray, a leather bag from Urban Southern and an antique sled.

Proceeds from the auction will support Poole Forge's efforts to conserve the environment, preserve the site's historic buildings and grounds and offer educational and community programs for people of all ages
