Orchestra posts upcoming season

The Reading Symphony Orchestra (RSO) has announced its concert schedule for the 2025-26 season. The new season, which will begin on Saturday, Sept. 27, includes five programs. Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Santander Performing Arts Center, 136 N. Sixth St., Reading.

The new season will offer concerts led by music director Andrew Constantine and featuring violinist Eric Silberger, French horn player Megan Amos, and Amy Ward Butler, the RSO's principal cellist. Musical selections will include Beethoven's Symphony No. 9; Tchaikovsky's "Romeo and Juliet Overture"; Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto; Dvoƙak's Symphony No. 9, "From the New World"; and Elgar's Cello Concerto.

The programs will be "Beethoven 9" on Sept. 27; "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and More" on Saturday, Nov. 15; "Valentine's with 'Romeo and Juliet'" on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026; "Mozart and Haydn" on Saturday, March 14; and "Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto" on Saturday, April 18. Artists and programming are subject to change.
