Organ concert to feature movie music

First Reformed United Church of Christ, 40 E. Orange St., Lancaster, will host a "Music From the Movies" concert on First Friday, Sept. 1, at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. The program is part of the "Organic Reflections" concert series

Ken Krause will play 30 minutes of music on the 1958 analog Allen organ. The program will include "Schindler's List" by John Williams, "All the Things You Are" by Jerome Kern and Barry Manilow's "Could It Be Magic?" along with the "Maestoso" and "Allegro" from Organ Sonata No. 2 in G minor by Gustav Merkel, which was frequently used as an accompaniment to silent films.
