Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, will host activities. The programs are free, but preregistration is required by contacting 717-964-3808 or governordick@hotmail.com and providing a name and phone number in case the program is canceled.

A Winter Solstice Walk will be held on Thursday, Dec. 21, at 11 a.m. Attendees will celebrate the beginning of winter with a stroll through the forest.

A nature scavenger hunt and craft on Saturday, Dec. 23, at noon. Participants will go on a hunt to collect objects from nature, then use what they have collected to press into clay ornaments. There is a fee.
