Outdoor Activity - Grace Point To Bring Back Fall Fun Fest

After canceling the 2020 Fall Fun Fest due to COVID-19 restrictions and viewing the return of the event with uncertainty, members of Grace Point Church, 10 S. Singer Ave., Paradise, decided in mid-September to go forward with the 15th Fall Fun Fest with an emphasis on outdoor activities. This year's event will be held at the church on Friday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. In 2018, church members served more than 650 meals and gave away candy to a large number of costumed children, and organizer Kathy Gehman expects that attendance will hit that mark again this year.

Highlights of this year's event will include an inflatable based on the game "bobbing for apples," an inflatable obstacle course, and a bounce house. The fest, a trick-or-treat alternative, will also feature pedal races, Plinko, a Tilt-o-Whirl game, a game called "farming fun," and miniature golf, among others. A petting zoo, maze game, and campfire will also be offered. There will be free hot chocolate, coffee, popcorn, and a s'mores bar. Milkshakes will be available for purchase. The church welcomes community members of all ages to enjoy the free evening of fun. Friendly costumes are welcome, but attendees are asked not to wear scary masks to the event.

The meal, which will be held inside, is one of the most popular features of the event. Attendees who wish to receive a free meal are asked to visit the welcome table at the event to receive a ticket. Meals will include a choice of a pork barbecue sandwich or a hot dog, along with applesauce, chips, and a chocolate chip cookie. Additional meals will be available for purchase.

There is no admission fee to attend the event, and parking is free. For more information, readers may call 717-687-7971 or visit http://www.gracepointparadise.com.
