Outdoor Concert, Picnic Planned

The Senior Commons at Powder Mill, located at 1775 Powder Mill Road in York, will kick off the start of summer with live music and a picnic on Thursday, May 27, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The free concert will be presented on the lawn by musical guest the Emigsville Band, which will perform melodies and songs by classic artists like Elvis Presley, The Beatles and more.

For a nominal donation to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, attendees will be able to choose from a selection of picnic fare, including burgers, hot dogs, potato and macaroni salads, baked beans, corn on the cob and cupcakes.

Attendees should bring a lawn chair or blanket. Seating is limited to ensure safe social distancing; masks will be required. In the case of inclement weather, the event will move to Friday, May 28.
