Paramount sets class, fundraiser

Paramount Senior Living, 2760 Maytown Road, Maytown, will offer a class to those who have loved ones affected by dementia on Monday, May 15. The free class will touch on practical communication and problem-solving strategies. A light dinner buffet will be available at 5:30 p.m., and the class will start at 6 p.m. Registration is required by calling 717-426-0033.

Additionally, Paramount is once again joining the Walk to End Alzheimer's, which happens across 600 communities nationwide. The event is a fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association, which has been funding research and development as well as offering a wealth of resources to those impacted by Alzheimer's disease since 1980.

This year's local walk will take place on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Overlook Park in Lancaster. The Paramount Pacers will host a fundraising cornhole tournament at Paramount Senior Living on Thursday, June 22. Organizers are seeking sponsors, prizes, donations and cornhole teams to make the event a success.
